Here are special edition factory contract magazines for the Browning Hi-Power Pistol. These were manufactured circa 2008. Manufacturer was Mec-Gar s.r.l. of Brescia, Italy, under contract to Fabrique Nationale in Herstal, Belgium. Importer was Not Mec-Gar USA. Note the shipping carton labels they came in. Construction is heat treated steel body, with steel springs and smooth milled welded back. Cartridge follower and elongated compliant tail piece are high impact polymer. Disassembly is conventional access through the tail piece. Finish is classic Mec-Gar polished surface blued steel. Each magazine holds 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition: 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19, call it what you will, THE 9mm. These magazines will fit any variant of the Browning Hi-Power Pistol, or its clones, that are chambered in 9mm caliber. That includes the FN / Browning Hi-Power pistols, FM Argentine, FEG P9, Bulgarian Arcus Pistols, Israeli Kareen, Inglis Canada, Kassnar 9HP all variants, Charles Daly Hi-Power, and Mauser 80SA, all of them Single Action pistols, and chambered in 9mm caliber. They will not fit a Browning BDM; will not fit a FEG R-9 double action pistol; will not fit a Beretta 92; will not fit the carburetor of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. They will only fit Browning Hi-Power Pistols and their clones chambered in 9mm caliber. Each magazine comes in its original shipping wrap, just like it shipped from Italy to Belgium.
