Here is Smith & Wesson's answer to, and improvement upon, the Colt 6920, M-4 Type Carbine, known to us elderly folk simply as a C-AR. This is the S&W Factory number 811020, the MP-15 MOE, for Magpul Original Equipment, a reference to its pistol grip and easy-operation collapsible buttstock. Buttstock, pistol grip, and forend are all updated and refined. The collapsible buttstock has a full shoulder-contact buttplate in skeleton configuration, as the photos show. This rifle comes with its original factory high-impact polymer 30 round magazine. Classification, of course, is Semi-Auto Gas Operated Carbine. Specs are as follows. 4140 steel 16 inch 1:9 twist chrome lined barrel with bayonet or accessory lug; M4-A2 Post Front sight; MBUS / MOE collapsible buttstock that yields 35 inch overall length extended or 32 inch OAL collapsed; chromed gas key, bolt carrier, and chamber; 7075 T6 Aluminum Receiver; Hard Coat Black Anodized metal finish; caliber .223 Remington / 5.56mm NATO; Magpul MOE adjustable rear battle sight mounted on an optics-ready slotted upper receiver. The photo specimen comes to us in a purchase we made from one of our Tennessippi Dealer colleagues; barrel surface shows faint amounts of shelfwear from rack contact, but this rifle has never been sold or fired since it left the factory. It is in its original factory black case with correct label, red lock, and instruction manual. We classify it as Excellent, Unfired in Box. It is under factory warranty, of course.
