This is a custom made replica of a Winchester M 70 sniper rifle built by Mike Lau at Texas Brigade Armory
In the early years of the Vietnam war USMC snipers ended the careers of hundreds of VietCong and NVA personnel with rifles very much like this one. The famous SGT Carlos Hatchcock made most of his 93 confirmed kills with a M 70 and original USMC issue rifles are considered national treasures with 5 figure values.
To this rifle:
1950 sn. (pre-1964) Winchester Model 70 was sent to Mike almost 2 years ago.
