Since any of our distinguished shoppers reading this ad probably own, or at least appreciate, the short action 700 rifles, we commend you. Here is Leupold’s One Piece, Redfield JR type scope base for the Remington 700 Short Action rifle, including calibers .222 Remington, .223 Remington, .220 Swift, .22-250, .243, 6mm [most of the time], 7mm-08, .284, and .308 Winchester. The screw holes should measure 3.680 inches between the holes, between the two screw holes nearest to the ejection area. These mounts will work on some Japanese made rifles, so long as they are true short actions and the screw holes meet that measurement, including Howas and Howa made Weatherby rifles. They will not fit a Long Action Remington 700, including some variants in 6mm; will not fit a 742 Woodsmaster; will not fit a Savage 110; will not fit the fuel line of a 1948 Studebaker. They will only fit true short action Remington 700 Rifles and Japanese variants whose screw holes measure 3.68 inches opposite the bolt port. These bases will only accept Redfield, Leupold, Millett or Burris – Redfield type steel scope rings, where the back / eyepiece end ring sets with side screws, and the front ring twists in with a 90 degree twist. Manufacturer is Leupold & Stevens of Beaverton, Oregon; construction is non-glare matte finished blue steel; screws are Torx head type with blue Loc-tite already in place; and Torx wrench is included. This one piece steel base prevents tube stress to the rifle’s scope, and it actually strengthens an already strong action, like the one on the Remington 700P showing in some of our photos, which is not included, of course. These bases are not easy to come by. We’re offering the Leupold base in the photos or one of its identical mates for only $ 35.00. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Grips, Magazines, slings, holsters, scopes, mounts, parts & most any small light items, entire accessory orders only $10.00 total shipping no matter how many a person buys. $10.00 for an entire order, Not $10.00 per item or anything of the sort. $20 Flat Fee on magazine orders to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, and gun parts to PR civilians must ship to an FFL. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
