I have never fired it and have carefully stored it in my safe for the past couple of years. I am looking to get into percussion so sadly this one must go. If you are looking for a classic and absolutely beautiful flintlock rifle to shoot or collect this is the one you want. It is beautiful to look at, handles like a charm and fits the shoulder incredibly. Isaac Haines was born in 1750 and was listed on the tax records of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania as a gunsmith in 1772. He worked into the 1790's. Haines made some of the very finest rifles produced in Lancaster, PA. This Isaac Haines rifle is of the style that was made in Lancaster in the late 1770's or early 1780's. It has an appropriate sliding wood patchbox. If you are looking for a good hunting rifle, the Haines in 50 caliber is hard to beat. The 38" barrel and light weight makes this a very quick-handling rifle for those running shots in heavy cover.
