Description: This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. It has an internal flaw in its left barrel's bore, so please read this entire ad carefully before bidding or offering to buy. Actually a better gun than the old 1878 Colt that it was cloned from, this Coach gun is all blue steel, very sturdy, with light complexioned hardwood stock and forend. Manufacturer is Linyi Junxing Sports Equipment of Shandong, China. Importer and warrantor is Century Arms of Georgia VT. Model is SPM-41; Century Arms sku number is SG2028N. Type is external hammer, breech loading side by side or double barreled Coach Gun shotgun. Construction is all steel metal, with walnut stock and forend. Chambering is .410 gauge, 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably. Barrels are 20 inch blue steel, and their muzzles gauge at .420 Cylinder Bore on both tubes. Sight system is .360 serrated top solid steel rib, with flat base brass bead type front sight. Mechanism is tang mounted breech lever, with tang mounted safety behind the lever. Hammers are exposed rabbit ear type external, .360 width and .650 height serrated spurs at the top. Firing is via hammer strike against spring loaded floating firing pins, and the hammers have half cock and full cock positions. Triggers are double .270 smooth face, forward for the right tube and rear for the left tube. Triggers pull in the 10 pound vicinity. This is Not a youth shotgun; youths and the weak of hand cannot generally manage a 10 pound pull. Barrels have once piece extractor block, no shell-slinging ejectors. Buttstock length of pull including their 1/2 inch thick rubber recoil pad is 14 1/2 inches, with a 3/4 inch rightward cant, so it is not entirely southpaw friendly. Sling swivels are permanent blued steel, mounted on the barrel and buttstock. Finish is semi gloss blued steel metal, and satin finish light hardwood. Weight empty is 8 pounds 9 ounces, with center of gravity under the chamber. This Coach Gun comes to us from Century's Distribution system. It has a .005 deep groove in its left barrel's bore that begins at 6 o'clock just forward of the chamber, and makes 1/4 right turn and ends at 3 o'clock on the muzzle. Our measurements come from the muzzle being .4165 high by .4210 laterally. The groove is conspicuous, and the photos will show it. We test fired this shotgun, however, with Remington 3 inch #7 1/2 shot, and with Nobel Sport 3 inch 4 Pellet Buckshot with no hitches or problems. That is all we know, because we are neither competent nor gunsmiths. We advise inspection by a competent gunsmith before firing this shotgun. Otherwise, Surface detractions are moderate, principally surface mars and unevenness in the buttstock's wood surfaces. Metal bluing is excellent. We rate this shotguns as Very Good, 75 to 80 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. This shotgun comes in a factory box with instruction manual and Century Arms hang tag. CAI’s one year warranty statement is available online at centuryarms com ConsumerWarrantyPolicyIDWaiver ; Century will not, however, refinish the shotgun for free, and they will Not replace its barrel. Last replacement pricing was $390 on centuryarms biz. We’re offering the Century .410 gauge Coach Gun in the photos, however, for only $ 219.00. Add a factory case of 10 Boxes, total of 250 rounds, of Nobel .410 3” #4 Buckshot Shells, only $12.90 per box, $129 freight paid lower 48 with Gun Purchase.
