This is a very nice Bisley made in 1905. It has gutta percha grips and 4.75" barrel, and it has lots of original finish, with visible case colors in some areas. It is in .41 Long Colt caliber, but it may have started life as a .38 WCF. They have the same bore size, and the barrel has been re-marked or over stamped with the .41. The cylinder also has a small ampersand (&) proof on the face which is typical of factory rework. Because of the ampersand, one is led to believe this was all redone at the factory on special order. Besides the finish, the gun has a very good bore and is accompanied by an impressive vintage single loop, carved holster (no maker mark). No box or papers, but a Colt with great finish and bore, and in fine working condition.
