Rare, one of a kind, & seldom seen are all descriptive adjectives that are frequently tossed about in the gun trade it seems. In this case boys and girls it applies. Offered for your consideration is a J Adam Kuchenreuter cartridge double rifle it is a round body under lever design, It has external cockers/cocking indicators but is a center fire action. It is not a modification of a pin fire gun. The barrels retain mint excellent bores and rifling. The collapsible peep sight is also adjustable. The triggers are adjustable. The metal work is 100% engraved with scrollwork, shields, and delicately executed animals. The barrels retain very strong plum brown finish. There are nicks and dings in the stock, but given that this gun was made in the mid 1860's I can forgive that. The locks. patch box, butt plate and top butt plate extension are expertly inlet. The J.
