The CZ 40B started out as a joint design between Colt and CZ to help Colt get back into the police market. The gun is a designed as a .40 caliber not a 9mm with a stiffer recoil spring. It has an alloy double stack 1911 style grip frame, and Glock-style locking system. It makes use of the CZ 75/85 double/single action trigger, the CZ 75/85 sear blocking safety, and CZ-P07 magazines.
The folks in the CZ gunsmithing business say it is the most reliable and trouble free of all the CZ's, which is really saying something.
It handles like a lightweight 1911 with a curved DA trigger.
It is equipped with very substantial three dot fixed sights similar to Novak.
It comes in a plastic CZ case, with the factory 10 round mag, a generic 12 round CZ mag, and takes current 12 round CZ-P07 mags.
