Description: HG3116 Here is the pistol that began the revolution in semi-auto handguns 25 years ago. There were reasons for that, and the reasons are evident on close inspection of this specimen of the 92FS Pistol. Until 1985 or so, Colt and Browning 9mms would not handle hollowpoints. Smith & Wesson 39 and 59 series pistols would, but the Smiths did not capture the market's imagination, perhaps due to the feel of the 59. Here was a pistol that looked good, felt good, and would handle sharp-nosed Federal and Smith & Wesson Hollowpoint ammo. It was, and is, extremely simply made, very easy to field strip and clean. This particular 92F has served and protected our fellow Americans in California on duty with the distinguished officers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Serial number is BER013,000 Z suffix range, so it was manufactured in 1988 from similarly numbered new guns we got that year. This pistol was one of the first issued to LASO when that Department officially adopted the 92F that year. Magazines are original LASO issue Ban Period, 15 round. Grips are LA SO issue, as the photos show. Surface detractions are only moderate, with faint amounts of edge whitening, and whitening on the serrations of the grip frame. Finish wear is minimal on the outer barrel surface. We rate it as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves. It is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We estimate that it has been fired about 2,500 rounds, no rounds at all for a Beretta 92F. Action is traditional single- and double action, with lock-down, decocking ambidextrous safety levers mounted on the slide. Barrel is 4.9 inch Government Size. Sights are dot front and U outline dovetailed rear. Capacity is 15 plus 1, and the pistol comes with two LA SO Department issue ban period LE / Law Enforcement marked magazines. Weight empty is a well-balanced, easy handling 33.4 ounces. Note that this Beretta has a full length steel guide rod, not plastic like the currently produced models. Finish is matte blue on the steel parts and matte anodized finish on the alloy frame. Own the LA County Beretta 92F in the photos for only $ 419.00. Add any number of New Factory Beretta Italian 15 round Magazines for only $22.00 each. Not transferable to civilians in California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts; only the 92FS variant is civilian legal in those jurisdictions. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where the 15 round Pre-Ban magazines are restricted, freight paid and no magazine, or we will sub one new 10 round Mec-Gar or Factory Beretta 10 rounder, Chicago, Hawaii, New York, and Puerto Rico are affected. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
