Description: From its home territory of New England comes this very attractive Charter Undercover Revolver in Nickel Finish. Its 424000 range serial number indicates late 1970s production, probably 1978. Manufacturer was Charter Arms’s second plant, Stratford, Conn., and barrel is so marked. Type is double and single action light weight pocket revolver. Construction is steel barrel, cylinder assembly, main frame, hammer, trigger, and internal parts, with an alloy grip frame and trigger guard assembly. Barrel is 2 inch, eight groove right hand 1:18.75 rifling. Sight is barrel integral serrated blade on a solid rib; rear sight is frame integral fixed notch. Cylinder capacity is 5 rounds of .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber ammunition, not recommended for +P. Metal finish is entirely nickel, except for the replacement factory rod tip, the blued serrated face .300 trigger, thumb latch screw, and matching short serrated spur hammer. Grips are original factory smooth walnut. Overall length is 6 1/2 inches; height is 4 1/2 inches; and cylinder diameter is 1.3 inches. Weight empty is 16 1/4 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger face. Surface detractions on this Nickel Undercover are moderate, edge pecking at places on the upper frame, one small peeled spot over one cylinder chamber only, two similar places over two of the cylinder chambers on the cylinder face; and light streaking here and there to the nickel and to the grips. We rate this Charter as Good, 70 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Double action trigger pull is stiff but smooth, 12 pound vicinity, with a crisp original 4 pound single action pull. Cylinder times correctly in all five positions on both single and double action. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal with the trigger relaxed. With the trigger fully depressed, however, there is no lateral play whatsoever. Blast effect to the underside of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is minimal, only a faint etchy line with no depth. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap measures a tight .004. We do not believe this revolver has been fired more than 50 times. We’re offering this 1960s early production Charter Undercover for only $ 289.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California or Massachusetts.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
