Charter Arms opened shop in 1964, and we began selling their products by 1966. The Charter Undercover looked and felt enough like a Smith & Wesson Airweight to suit us. Here is Charter’s Undercover Lite numbered model 53883; and it is similar to the 53890 Goldfinger, perhaps even more attractive. Manufacturer and warrantor is Charter Arms of Shelton, CT. Construction is steel barrel, cylinder, trigger, hammer, and internal parts housed in a two piece lightweight alloy main frame and grip frame. Grips are factory rubber combat finger groove type. Barrel is one piece, with six groove right hand 18 3/4 rifling fore in a full lug shroud. Sights are solid rib integral ramp front with frame integral fixed notch rear. Cylinder holds 5 rounds, and the Charter accepts ammunition from a 36A size speedloader. Trigger is .300 serrated face, with matching serrated spur hammer. Charters generally pull double action in the 12 – 14 pound vicinity, and 4 pound area single action, with minimal felt creep. Ignition is floating firing pin, with transfer bar safety mechanism that prevents the hammer from contacting the pin unless the trigger is fully depressed. Weight empty is 14 ounces, with center of gravity at the rear cylinder face. Finish is matte black steel, matte black anodized grip frame, and with Bronze Anodized main frame. Each Undercover comes in its factory hard shell case with protective papers, instruction manual, factory registration card, and gun lock. Similar revolvers from Taurus, Smith & Wesson, and Ruger command prices upwards of $800 apiece. We’re offering the Charter Undercover Lite .38 Special in the photos, however, or one of its identical mates for only $ 309.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California or Massachusetts. 2% discount if payment is with USPS Money Order & Not Credit Card. Any ammunition or personnel in our photos is Not included.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
