Mec Gar manufactures the factory magazines for many brands, including Browning, Beretta, Rock Island, and Kel-Tec. Construction on this one, the 9615AFC, is heat treated steel body and spring, with special AFC, Anti Friction Coating that insures smooth insertion and ejection, and guards against adverse weather and magazine case binding. Cartridge follower is high impact black polymer, and floorplate is Mec-Gar’s own Plus 2 that allows this magazine to hold fifteen rounds of .40 S&W Ammunition. These magazines fit any Beretta 96 series pistol, standard or Vertec grip frame; and they also fit the CX4 rifles. They will not fit a PX4 Pistol, will not fit a Taurus, will not fit the dump lever of a 1947 John Deere Manure Spreader. Note that the plus 2 floorplate will necessarily extend the grip frame.
