The barrel is engraved "Armi Renato Gamba - Gardone V.T." and "Built for J.T.Amber by Renato Gamba". The coin finished sideplates and bottom of the action are engraved with incredibly life like, Bulino scenes of a pair of Stags roaring at each other across a chasm on the bottom. The right lockplate shows a family grouping of roebucks in a meadow and the left side shows an action scene of stag & hinds boundling over a hedgerow. These scenes are signed "Galeazzi' on both lockplates. Galeazzi is one of the 5 best engravers that ever lived.
Dramatically streaked European walnut is used for the pistol grip stock and Schnaubel forearm. A cheekpiece is blended in smoothly to the stock. Multipoint checkering with double line borders covers the grip areas. The forend had a Deely type release and latching hardware to match the action.
This gun comes with a Zeiss Diatal - Z 4x32 rail scope with 3 post duplex reticle. The scope attaches effortlessly with claw mounts and the rear mount is adjustable for windage. The set is housed in a very best quality oak & leather case with reinforced corners and a brass plate initialed "JTA". The accessories in the green felt lined case are a take down cleaning rod, square oil bottle and canvas backed sling.
