This rifle has a period correct two groove barrel with a clean and shiny bore. This rifle has been dropped into a rakish Monte Carlo style stock and has had the military bottom metal replaced with a hinged floorplate. Additionally, a fully functional, windage and elevation adjustable, Redfield rear aperture sight has been affixed to the rifle. The front sight is a shiny bead mounted on a barrel band. The style and model of this rifle dates it squarely in the 1960s, the heyday of sporterizing mil-surp small arms. For someone looking for a rifle that reminds them of an earlier era without expensive optics and complicated reticles; an era when a hunter had to really HUNT game and not just snipe at moving targets with some high-powered electronic optic, this rifle will fulfill your nostalgic yearning!
