From an estate in New England comes this Beretta .25 Automatic. Named model, since production began in the 1950s, was Jetfire, as the grips indicate. Numbered model is 950 BS, marked on the slide. From its BU08000, V suffix serial number, this specimen was manufactured in 1992. Manufacturer was Beretta USA of Accokeek Maryland and so marked, with several parts from the parent factory in Gardone Italy. Type is blowback action single action only semi-automatic pistol that interestingly does not have, and does not need, an extractor. Loading, unloading, and ejecting live rounds is achieved by operating the lever and flipping up the barrel. 950 and 21 owners should never back the slide with the barrel up. This 950 has a left side, right hander lever safety that engages on half cock and on full cock. Construction is steel barrel, slide, and parts, all in a lightweight alloy receiver. Finish is original matte blue and black anodized, with matte blue steel slide, hammer, trigger, and furniture. Barrel is 60mm, 2.36 inches long, with 1:16 six groove right hand rifling. Caliber is .25 ACP, and the replacement Mec-Gar blue steel magazine holds seven rounds of .25 ACP ammunition. Trigger is .230 smooth faced, with matching commander style hammer. Dimensions are 4 3/4 inches long by 3 1/2 inches height, with a slide thickness of .77 inch at the breech face. Weight empty is 9.8 ounces, with center of gravity at the slide face. This is a single action pistol. A person has to cock it on the first shot. The way to safety unload it, is to tip up the barrel and remove a live round, and then decock it with the trigger and thumb. Surface detractions on this specimen are only moderate, with light scouring, and some edge whitening and light streaking. We rate it as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Trigger is two stage, with a relatively crisp 7 pound pull. We do not believe this little pistol has been fired over 100 times. We’re offering this attractive New England Beretta 950 Jetfire for only $ 269.00.

Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
