Here is the latest descendant of the Ingram Mac-10 machine pistol. The Ingram, the parent pistol, was invented in 1964 and variants of it saw service on a limited basis in Viet Nam and in domestic law enforcement applications in the United States. S.W. Daniel Company in Marietta Georgia began production of a semi-auto version in the late 1970s, but BATF stopped production in 1982 because the pistols fired from an open bolt and were too easy to convert. This is the M-11 type, closed bolt. It is presently manufactured by Masterpiece Arms in Carrollton, Georgia, and its present model designation is MPA930T-A, the Mini Variant, not really much bigger than the very popular Cobray .380 pistols. It is brand new in its original box with a factory 30 round magazine. Barrel is 3 3/8 inch threaded. This pistol weighs a hefty 56 ounces empty with magazine included. Overall length is 8 1/4 inches, and height is 11 inches with magazine inserted. Construction is all steel with polymer backstrap / magazine release housing. Safety is lever style, mounted on the side of the frame; and sights are aperture rear and post front.
