The stock and forend appear to be walnut, but we are not absolutely certain about that. Word is that there will be no more Brazilian Walnut, Goncalo, or even Brazilian hardwood. We heartily recommend the Remington Reduced Recoil loads, readily available in most areas, for lighter weight or recoil-sensitive folk who use these rifles. This rifle comes with a Weaver type scope base and hammer extension for scope mounting, as well as two keys for its internal lock, the same type lock that comes on Rossi and Taurus Revolvers.
