Everyone knows, of course, the requirements of the EPA that has encroached upon the waterfowl shotgun market, resulting in a decade of steel shot use, then the development of Bismuth rounds. That is not our concern with this particular round. We have a few customers, some of them waterfowlers, who believe that steel shot shells have some ideal properties for home defense. They are, they say, death at close range because of the superior penetration qualities of the steel shot and because of the elevated velocity produced by the lighter steel shot loads. Then, they further observe, velocity falls off sharply after 25 yards, making them less dangerous than buckshot at longer ranges. In these folks' use, steel shot has substituted admirably for buckshot loads, hence our offering, at the behest of local customers, this Remington Nitro Steel 3 1/2 inch Magnum load with 93 oz. of #BBB Steel Shot. It is rated at 1300 feet per second from a 26 inch barrel. Its performance is roughly equivalent, at close range, to firing two boxes or 100 rounds of .22 Long Rifle rounds all in one sho. It comes by the box of 25. Own a box for only $ 15.00. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges.
