This listing is for the exact shotgun in the photos. Here is Mossberg’s tried and true Model 500 Pump Shotgun chambered in .410 gauge, with its best looking, most traditional attire. Named Model is All Purpose Pump, but Mossberg calls its 20 gauge mate a Crown Grade, and this one has the same configuration. Manufacturer is O.F. Mossberg & Sons, New Haven, CT. Type is pump or slide action shotgun. Construction is steel barrel, magazine tube, bolt, internal parts, and trigger, fitted in a light weight alloy frame. Buttstock and forend are cut checkered American hardwood. Barrel is 24 Full Choke, .392 vicinity muzzle diameter. Chambering is .410 gauge, 2 1/2 inch and 3 inch interchangeably. This shotgun is Not designed for rifled slugs or steel shot. Sight system is a 10 post, .375 wide serrated top Ventilated Rib that sits 1/4 inch above the barrel at mid section. Front bead is white polymer, with smaller brass bead at the mid section of the rib to complete a figure 8 sight picture. Receiver has serrated sighting grooves on its top, but Mossberg does not drill its .410 receivers for optic bases. Magazine holds 5 each 2 1/2 inch shells, or 4 each 3 inch shells, so 5+1 capacity on 2 1/2 inch. Safety is classic Mossberg tang mounted, southpaw friendly on its own, but the 3/4 inch right hand cant of the buttstock conspires against left hand shooters. Length of pull is 14 inches from the smooth face of the gold plated .275 steel trigger to the end of the factory 7/8 inch recoil pad. Stock and forend are satin finished, cut checkered American Hardwood. Weight empty is 5 pounds 14 ounces, with center of gravity at the breech face. This specimen comes to us from light duty with Mossberg’s sales reps and writers, and trade show display at venues like the annual SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Surface detractions are minimal, only faint amounts of handling wear or sticker stain, really no more than one commonly sees on many brand new guns on display in stores across the country. We rate this Mossberg as Excellent, 90 to 95 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. If this shotgun has ever been fired, it was fewer than 25 times. It comes in a Mossberg factory box, with factory lock, and instruction manual that contains Mossberg’s warranty statement. Replacement pricing on this variant of the Mossberg 500 is $414 on mossberg com. We’re offering the very attractive .410 gauge in the photos, however, for only $ 289.00. Any ammunition or personnel shown in our photos are Not included.
