Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: Beautifully factory engraved Colt SAA Buntline 150TH Anniversary Limited Edition manufactured in caliber .45 Long Colt with a 10 inch barrel and high-polish blued finish. When these Colts were announced for 1986 production, Colt anticipated manufacturing 1000 examples. The Colt Archive department advised that their records indicate that Colt produced and delivered only 460 of this limited edition with “AM” (presumably for "Anniversary Model") prefixed numbers and another 30 with customer specified serial numbers and an “SA” prefix. The total production for this Anniversary edition was only 490. THIS IS NUMBER 30 in the “AM” part of the edition, and it is factory original and NEW? Celebrating 150 years of Colt craftsmanship, this Buntline revolver features floral scroll engraving with a punch dot background on the sides of the barrel and on the cylinder flats. The rear of the cylinder has a simple scroll pattern. The back strap is gold etched with a floral design along the spine. At the top of the back strap, directly behind the hammer, Colt etched in gold the sesquicentennial message "150 YEARS OF COLT CRAFTSMANSHIP" arched over the circled 150th Rampant Colt logo. The top of the barrel is marked with the Colt one-line address over "--1836 * 150TH ANNIVERSARY * 1986--". The left side of the frame is marked with the three-line/three-patents stamp. The caliber, .45, is stamped on the barrel’s 6 o’clock position next to where it joins the frame. Features include the following: standard blade front and frame-notch rear sights; bull's eye ejector rod head; hand-fitted smooth-surface Goncalo Alves grips with the gold 150th Anniversary Rampant Colt medallions. This wonderful and collectible Colt comes complete with an "1836-Colt-1986" marked wood case with a light blue velvet interior and a 150TH Anniversary of Colt Craftsmanship medallion inset into the interior top of the case. The medallion is gold and dark blue enamel and is 2.5 inches in diameter. Additional items include the original factory shipping box with end label numbered to the gun, a plain brown cardboard shipping box, a copy of Cherry's Sporting Goods advertisement from 1986 and a brass key and Colt papers. This package is new. No turn line on cylinder. The case and revolver and shipping boxes bear only slight handling marks. The engravings are crisp and clear. The case is excellent. Appears to be mechanically excellent but we did not cycle the action in order to preserve the cylinder finish.
