Here is an excellent and rather hard to find example of the steel-framed Colt Peacemaker .22 revolver from 1976 with both .22LR and .22 MAG cylinders and most the desirable barrel length. These guns are NOT alloy-frame guns like the less expensive Colt .22's.
It was sold to me as unfired and I have no reason to believe it was ever fired, however to protect myself I have listed it as 'used as new'.
If you've never handled one of these Colt .22 revolvers, and you are a .22 single action revolver fan, you don't know what you're missing. The gun feels sleek and compact, and points naturally. The balance is perfect. Cocking the hammer does not feel indistinct or distorted as with a transfer-bar equipped gun, but instead cocks firmly and positively, with four clear and distinct clicks that spell C - O - L - T just like the Colt .45 Peacemaker.
You won't regret buying this one.
Serial # G197XXX This gun never left the house and is in beautiful condition. No apparent turn ring on either cylinder. Barrel is marked PEACEMAKER .22 & COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG Co. HARTFORD CT. USA.
The foam inner box is there but has a hole eroded through it from storage oils. I do not have the outer box anymore.
