This Taurus PT745 has a positive locking thumb safety for right-handed shooters; more important, it comes with Taurus's patented internal lock system and two keys. The Taurus, furthermore, has smoother lines and smoother surfaces than its competitor, note the beveled top of the frame – nowhere near as Box-y as the Glock. Whereas a person has to get one of the rather unwieldy, fattening Hogue slip-on grips to get a positive control feel to the Austrian Company's products, the Brazilians at Taurus have incorporated a very comfortable positive-gripping lower frame with better contour and extensive serrations that allow the shooter to conduct protracted firing sessions with positive grip control.
