Selling a very nice, well-maintainted Remington 30-06, Model 03-A3. Made in 1943 as a sniper rifle for our WW2 soldiers, it has since been sporterized and is well-equipped for big game hunting. This unique yet fully functional rifle comes with a BRAND NEW Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 scope with BDC reticle (Bullet Drop Compensation) and has been sighted in at 100 yards.
This gun is VERY accurate, and I have personally fired about 60 rounds through it. I was actually surprised at how easy it was to operate, disassemble and clean. There is no rust to speak of, and the wooden stock has only a few very minor blemishes.
I am also including 255 rounds of 30-06 ammo ($250 dollar value) in a military ammo box, a replica of the original field guide (owner's manual), and a BRAND NEW soft case to transport the rifle. The barrel on this Remington 03 A3 is marked 12-43, with "firebomb" image. Serial #4181XXX.
Priced to sell at $600 (plus shipping if applicable). The scope goes for $210 retail, and the ammo would normally be $250, which means this unique rifle will really only be costing you $140 dollars.
After looking into the federal laws regarding private party firearm sales, I discovered this rifle (even though it's 70 years old) is NOT considered an antique, as defined in Section 478.11 of Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Neither is it defined as an antique Under Title 18, Section 921(a)(16) of the United States Code. That is because it fires centerfire cartridges that are still available. Therefore, the sale of this rifle must be conducted through an FFL dealer.
Will ship through FFL to any state in U.S. Buyer pays shipping.
