Description:
Serially numbered 52078, this Colt Officers Model Target Revolver in .22 caliber was, according to R.L. Wilson’s serialization, manufactured in 1948. We consider it to be in Good to Very Good Condition. It appears to be entirely original, even the right grip panel that is damaged on its butt area. It has extensive holster wear to its surface from carry in an unlined holster, most likely the one in the photo that came with it, a period Tru-Fit leather holster. From the looks of the cylinder face, this revolver has been carried, or stored, for a long time buy has actually undergone very little firing. It has a King windage adjustable rear sight and a factory elevation adjustable front sight. None of the screws show any stress indications. Frame and undersides have strong original bluing, and most of the holster wear, as the photos show, is on the cylinder surface and barrel sides. We rate this revolver at 70 percent finishwise, but have included sufficient photography for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves.
This revolver is Very Good to excellent mechanically. Lateral play or wobble effect to the cylinder is negligible with the trigger relaxed; and there is no movement when the trigger is pulled all the way. Cylinder timing is excellent on a brisk trigger pull, normal for I frame Colts. Pinging on the rear cylinder face is moderate, with pinging marks visible on the recess edges of four cylinder chamber recesses. Bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the under side of the frame topstrap directly above the forcing cone is negligible; we removed only a slight amount of lead buildup from that area.
This is a thoroughly respectable, mechanically superior specimen of the Colt I Frame Revolver, same mechanism as the Troopers and Pythons. Own it for only $ 489.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
