This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Here is the best quality .40 Mid Sized Compact pistol on the market, emphasis on best more than on Compact. It is the smallest descendant of the definitive P226, the P-229. Type is locked breech, traditional double and single action hammer fired semi automatic pistol with frame mounted decocker. Like all Sigs, it has a firing pin safety. The frame is made by Sig Sauer in Eckenforde, Germany, and all the parts assembled and manufactured at Sig Sauer here in the US at Exeter, NH. Slide and parts are non-glare Black Stainless, fitted into a lightweight alloy frame. From this 229’s AE serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1995, first full year of the civilian magazine ban. Barrel is 3.9 inches 6 groove 1:10 rifling. Slide has rear lateral serrations, full length steel guide rod, and Sig’s distinctive braided return spring. Frame’s slide rails extend from its muzzle end to the magazine well. Sights are dovetailed front and rear, refilled white dot from original Siglite. Sight radius is 5.7 inches on the 229. Trigger is .370 smooth faced, with smooth 12 pound vicinity double action pull, and two stage 4 pound vicinity single action that has minimal felt creep and overtravel. Decocker, slide release, disassembly lever, and magazine release all favor right handed shooters, but the mag release is reversible for southpaws. Dimensions are 7.10 inches overall length; 5.1 inch height; 1.5 inch maximum width; and weight empty 32.5 ounces with center of gravity at the breech face. Chambering is .40 Smith & Wesson Caliber, and magazine included is factory German Steel, LE marked, with dovetailed back construction. It holds 12 rounds of .40 ammunition, so 12+1 fully loaded capacity. Grips are Hogue Combat replacement. This is a well maintained Law Enforcement P229. Surface detractions on this are minimal to moderate, principally edge wear on the slide laterals, trigger guard, and levers. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Lateral slide play is minimal. From its age, and from its barrel surface, we estimate it has been fired 700 or 800 rounds, no rounds at all for a Sig. Replacement price on this pistol in our area, if a person can even find one, is upwards of $900.00. We're offering the P229 .40 in the photos, however, for only $ 469.00.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
