Description: HGB8000 This listing is for One Pistol; FFLs and Law Enforcement, however, may take any number at the same per-pistol price and with no additional shipping charges. A combination of factors led Beretta to introduce its 8000 Cougar Series of Pistols in 1994, chief among them market pressure from the Sig Sauer 228 and 229 pistols. The 8000 Cougar retained the smoothness and simplicity of the 92FS / M9 Pistols, but with thinner lines and a shorter 3 1/2 inch barrel. The Cougar’s cam lock rotating barrel still stands as an unparalleled innovation. Photos show a specimen of the most attractive and most desirable form of the Cougar, with BU Italian Date code, manufactured in 2004, the final year of production for the series. This is the Inox / Stainless version, manufactured in 2004 only and in limited quantities at that. As far as specs, type is cammed blowback traditional double and single action semi-automatic. The ambidextrous safety levers also serve as decockers, to put the car in park, just like the US Army’s M9. First shot from a resting hammer is a smooth long double action pull, and each subsequent shot 6 pound vicinity single action with minimal felt trigger creep, just like the Standard 92FS and M9. Construction is lightweight alloy frame, Beretta Inox coated, with stainless steel slide, barrel, and working parts; and with a blue steel serrated spur modified Commander type hammer, as the photos show. Hammer is blue steel, as is the trigger pin and grip screws. Sights are dovetailed in black anodized three dot. Grip panels are factory Beretta checkered Italian Walnut, rarely ever seen on the common blue 8000s and Vertecs. Brip frame is serrated fore and aft, and the magazine release can be easily reversed for Left Handed shooters, just like the M9. Maximum slide thickness is 1.1 inches; overall length measures 7 inches from the muzzle to the grip frame strut; height is 5 3/8 inches from the top of the rear sight to the bottom of the magazine floorplate. Weight empty is 31.4 ounces. Capacity is 15 + 1 rounds of 9mm Luger – 9mm Parabellum – 9x19 – call it what you will, THE 9mm. Each pistol in this small lot is identical to the photo specimen except for its serial number. Each comes in its original Italian Factory Beretta box and blue carrying case with a total of two magazines, a California Compliant padlock; and a trilingual English / Italian / French instruction manual. Beretta 92FS / M9 Magazines can be easily modified to fit this Cougar. Note that this pistol is not stamped Beretta USA like its blued mates; rather, it is stamped by the importer, PWA. Beretta USA, then, will not likely honor any warranty work, but we do not recall ever sending a 92 series or 8000 series pistol in for service anyway. Each pistol from this lot is thoroughly Italian, from the proof marks on the frame to the manual and silver outer box labels. This pistol is not to be confused with the Stoeger Cougar clones; those are made in Turkey. This pistol represents a one time opportunity for Beretta Collectors and for anyone who wants a high grade stainless 9mm. Replacement pricing on the nearest thing available, the 92FS Inox, is over $900 in our area, if a person can even find one. We’re offering the 8000F Cougar, however, Italian SKU number A5AA2123112, each for only $ 539.00 Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 15 round magazines are restricted to Law Enforcement, $25 off but no magazines, or we will sub one factory 10 rounder for the two fifteens. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $10 lower 48; $30 AK, HI, PR, USPS Priority. 7 day money back on used items, but No Returns on NIB, Lay-away, or Ammo. Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
