We are unclear as to whose armorer converted this rifle; the 62 and its characters on the rear of the receiver top may indicate Israeli conversion, and that is where most of the few .308 Mausers we’ve had down through the years came from. Markings on the left side of the receiver read, Mauser Chileno Modelo 1895 / Manufactura Loewe Berlin. The caliber conversion process only resulted in shiny buffed appearance to the front sight band and rear cap of the barrel cover. Wood is original walnut with extensive scouring and light pecking. None of it is serious, and we do not detect any cracks anywhere in the wood. Bolt and receiver have matching serial numbers; rod and floorplate mismatch. Metal is 40 percent blue by our estimate, mixed with gray and brown. Exposed outer surface of the barrel has extensive etchy light pitting, nothing deep. Finishwise, we rate this Chileno Mauser as Good, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent, no pitting whatsoever in the bore and even substantial original bluing left on the cartridge follower. Bayonet is similar, Good as well by our estimate. Tang marking reads Weyersberg / Zirchbaum & Co / Solingen, with B prefix bayonet number and K prefix scabbard number. Bayonet blade appears to have never been used or sharpened, as the photos show, spotty gun metal gray on the blade. We’re offering this complete Mauser, probably a veteran of both the Chilean and Israeli Armed Forces, for only $ 239.00.

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
