Description: At only 6 3/4 pounds empty Beretta’s 1201FP weighs in a full pound less than its 11-87 Police Competitor. Its center of gravity is distributed more toward the muzzle than the Remington, and that enhances its controllability in protracted firing sessions. It matches its chief competitor, the Benelli M-1 Super 90 not only on weight, but also on internal design. Parts will not interchange with the M-1 Super 90, but they come awfully close. Beretta simply marketed their own inertia-operated version to compete, and it is just as simple, just as reliable, and it blew the Benelli away on pricing, by about 40 percent. We strongly suspect that the 1201FP’s discontinuance in 2004 was a result of the threat of litigation from Benelli USA, but we cannot substantiate that. The Benelli system is much faster firing than the slow but good Remingtons. As far as specs, type is inertia-action semi-auto shotgun; weight empty 6 3/4 pounds; barrel is 20 inch .715 Police Cylinder, about the same as Remington’s usual Improved Cylinder on their police guns; chambering accepts 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells interchangeably; windage and elevation adjustable rear black leaf sight with beaded blade front sight; serrated high impact polymer forend and buttstock that will give or bend under recoil; 1/2 inch Beretta decelerator type recoil pad with white spacer; magazine capacity 5 + 1 on 3 inch shells or 6 + 1 on 2 3/4 inch shells and we believe a veteran operator of one of these guns can get one more into it; overall length is a well balanced 41 3/4 inches. This specimen comes to us from its slightly longer than a decade service protecting our fellow Americans. Surface detractions are minimal, merely a small amount of white speck here and there on the receiver and faint scouring on the buttstock and forend. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, finishwise since no more than 10 to 15 percent of its sufaces are affected by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice so that our distinguished shoppers can judge finish grade for themselves. It is certainly excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. We estimate that this shotgun has been fired fewer than 1000 rounds and with 2 3/4 inch shells only, just enough for it to be broken in well enough to handle light loads. From its BA Italian Date code, it was manufactured in 1991, the first year of manufacture for its military & police configuration and fourth year model production. Replacement pricing on the nearly identical M-1 Super 90 is upwards of $1500 apiece in our area, if a person can even find one. We’re offering the shotgun in the photo, however, for only $ 489.95. Not transferable to civilians in any jurisdiction with a 6 round capacity limit for semi-auto shotguns, including New Jersey, New York, Cincinnati,

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
