They were offered in a multitude of calibers, with some far rarer than others. This particular model was made in 1947, the only year model 70s in .300 Savage were produced. As a result, they are very hard to find. This rifle is also in excellent condition for its age. The most noticeable signs of wear are a couple chips on the top of the stock, minor fading on the bolt, and a few scratches on the barrel. The bore is barely cleaned, and the gun was only fired a few times. The rear sights are missing. Does not have original box and papers. Also included is an email copy sent to us by the curatorial assistant of the Cody Firearms Museum verifying its age, and further information for the varying calibers for model 70s.
