From a local estate sale, a flintlock brass barrel blunderbuss in excellent condition. I am not sure of the make of this gun as the only stamps I can find are on the lock. "Potzdam Magas" The last two letters of "Magas" are partialy obscured by the frizzen spring and could be different letters (see photo). Beside the brass barrel the butt plate, trigger guard, ram rod, nose cap and entry thimbles are brass. The barrel has six rings around it and is flared at the muzzle. I can't tell the cal. for sure but looks like about 60 something. The lock and triggers function perfectly and the lock spring is strong. The stock is retained by a single wedge pin and I assume a hooked breech (I have not taken it apart). The stock is in excellent condition for the age of the gun with a few light scratches and dings, the only fault I can find with the gun is a crack between lock and trigger (see photo) but everything is tight and I can't tell how deep the crack is but it should not effect the fuction or shooting of the gun. Although I am not an expert it is obvious this gun is old and not a reproductuon and I will guarantee it as such. Satisfaction guarnteed. We trade guns. Cashiers check or money order only.
