Harrington & Richardson M1 Garand cal .30-06, serial number 56634xx, manufactured 1955. HRA barrel dated July 1955. Other parts are a mix of Springfield and HRA. No import marks. Very good used condition.

-Receiver: marked “6528291” on leg, heat lot Y. Absolutely no pitting. Finish shows some wear.
-Barrel: marked “HRA 6535448 7-55 RS62” with “P” and punch mark, small stars and eagle and misc other marks. Bore condition is bright but used, riflings and crown good. External finish is in good condition, no pitting. Chrome pads at gas port. -Barrel ME: 2, Barrel TE: <3

-Op rod catch: HRA/SA/IHC type, unmarked
-Bullet guide: post WWII type, stamped with notch, unmarked

-Firing pin: half round, no chrome tip, unmarked

-Rear sight cover: unmarked, has HRA type narrow ribs
-Rear sight aperture: HRA/SA type, double track
-Trigger housing: HRA, marked “6528290-HRA N”. Small pad, cloverleaf hole, finish
in good condition, no pitting
-Trigger guard: stamped with stamped hook, unmarked,
-Trigger: late type, no extra hole, unmarked
-Hammer: marked “HRA 5546008”
-Safety: marked “HRA”
-Gas cylinder: wide sight platform, flat on top of rear
-Front sight: 0.82 wide, appears to be IHC or Winchester. Impossible to inadvertently sight on an “ear” with this type of wide sight
-Gas cylinder lock: square front non-grenade launcher type, marked “M”
-Gas cylinder lock screw: cross slot, grenade launcher valve type, marked “T”
-Stock: walnut, marked “O.G.” in box, presumably for Ogden Arsenal, could be a partial “O.G.E.K.” as the right side of the box is missing. Also marked with uncircled non-serif “P” on bottom of pistol grip. Looks refinished, no cracks, very few dents or scratches, very nice appearance
-Rear handguard: walnut, a small crack at the back, some dents, good match to stock
-Front handguard: walnut, a small crack at the back, a few small dents, good match to stock
-Buttplate: probably new repro, perfect condition
-Sling: Leather, new
