Manufacturer was Sig Arms in Exeter, NH, with frame manufactured by SIG Sauer GmbH of Eckernförde, Germany, marked, Frame Made in Germany. Box label reads 220-45-S, direct ancestor to the 220R45SSE, Elite Stainless. Construction is entirely steel, with natural stainless finish slide and frame; and black Nitron® steel furniture. Barrel is 4.4 inch 6 groove 1:16 right hand rifling, Nitron® finished steel. Slide is serrated back, with dovetailed black steel dot front sight and dovetailed white bar rear, contrast type. Overall length is 7.70 inches from muzzle to grip frame strut, with a 6.30 inch sight radius on the slide. Height is 5 1/2 inches. Frame is stainless steel, with a 3 slot Picatinny rail incorporated. Trigger is .300 combat type black serrated, with matching short spur hammer. Double action trigger pull is 10 pound vicinity; and single action gauges at 5 1/4 pounds with minimal felt creep. Grip panels are Hogue 220 textured surface, pliable black rubber.
