From its W Y date Code, this Remington .30-06 LSFP was manufactured in August of 2004. This is a Remington BDL type with floorplate, hence the FP in its numbered Model designation. Remington Product Code is 25685. Specs are Bolt Action Centerfire model 700 Remington, Caliber .30-06 Springfield, capacity 4+1, internal magazine BDL type with hinged floorplate; 22 inch barrel with 1:10 right hand twist rifling; High Gloss Monte Carlo type Black-and-Gray Laminated Stock; weight empty 7 3/8 pounds; 13 3/8 inch length of pull with 1/2 inch drop at comb and 1 3/8 inch drop at heel; Satin Blue Finished Metal with glossy anodized trigger group and floorplate; serrated adjustable trigger; internal keyed bolt lock; standard 700 bar safety; blue steel windage and elevation adjustable rear sight; hooded ramp and insert front sight with ivory bead; 4 screw scope mount drilling. Remington still has this rifle on its website, but there have been none of these in the distribution channels since 2006 by our poor memory; the production run ended with some special Centennial Edition .270 specimens in that year. This rifle comes to us from a private collector in our home McNairy County, and it has been fired fewer than 40 rounds. Any surface detractions are negligible, only fain small scours on the left center side of the stock that are barely visible on close inspection, much less conspicuous, and which do not penetrate the hard high-gloss finish. Bolt jewelling is strong throughout with negligible operation buffing on the white bolt body. This rifle is in its original box with its instruction manual and keys for its safety lock. Replacement price on the nearest 700 variants still available, the CDL, BDL, and LSS, is over $900 apiece in our area.
