From a Louisiana Dealer liquidation comes this unfired never mounted factory Remington Barrel for standard 12 gauge 1100 shotguns. This has always been Remington’s most popular barrel for its second most popular shotgun. Manufacturer is Remington Arms of Ilion, New York. Factory number is 24464. Construction is entirely blued steel, with stainless Rem-Choke® choke tubes. Chambering is 12 gauge, 2 3/4 inch shells only. This barrel will not eject a 3 inch shell. Barrel is 28 inches from chamber mouth to muzzle. Sight system is a 12 post, .290 wide, lateral serration ventilated rib, .26 inch above the barrel at the lug. Lug contains two gas ports, and they should be thoroughly cleaned before firing the barrel, because they are usually full of grease from the factory. Choke system is factory Rem-choke®, and Remington is its own choke with its own threads, and will not interchange with any other choke thread. It comes furnished with all three of its original tubes, a .682 muzzle Full for steel or lead; a .706 muzzle Modified; and a .715 muzzle Improved Cylinder, complete with the factory mouse ear type wrench. This barrel was never sold, fired, or mounted. It is New Old Stock condition. We do not detect any surface detractions or wear whatsoever. It is recent, 2013 or 2014 production, attest the new style factory lettering. This barrel is in new condition, and it is under factory warranty, so we will not accept a return. Replacement pricing on a new 1100 barrel approaches $400 in our area.
