We are offering for sale a scarce Savage Model 23AA Sporter chambered in .22LR. This is an improved version of the Savage Model 23A that was only manufactured for a few years.
18” Bbl has been cut down from original length and has a new front blade sight applied sometime in the past. Barrel is in very good condition with most of the bluing turning a grey-brown color with patina. Bore is excellent, clean and bright with strong rifling. Barrel has been drilled and tapped and has filler screws. Action works smoothly without any problems. Stock is very nice with light overall handling wear; Checking is slightly worn. No cracks or breaks apparent. SAVAGE 23AA marked magazine included as well as a leather sling.
