The barrel was re-contoured to match original Krag profile. Williams sights were installed front and rear. The forend is tied to the front portion of the barrel with a screw/stud set up.The metal was left in it's somewhat pitted condition, bead blasted and blued. An American walnut sporter stock has been fitted and glass bedded. There is a Pachmeyer rifle pad and sling swivels installed.The finish is hand applied and rubbed true oil. The work has been done by a professional gunsmith with thirty years of full time hands on expierience.The over-all effect is a nice solid Krag sporter that shoots as good as it looks.
