I have a Standard Products M1 Carbine receiver serial number 2149694 manufactured between September 1943-January 1944. On the left side of the receiver there is a marking 9 B. The barrel is an INLAND MFG. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS 4-44 with a 3rd style barrel band marked MMQ. The trigger group has an Inland stamp and an M underlined on the magazine release button and a rotary safety. The milled adjustable rear sight has a PI mark on it. The rifle features a round bolt with no markings. The slide has several markings including an F, A, P, T & F 3 on the underside. The oval cut low wood "M2 Pot belly" stock is in excellent condition and is laminated with a non-laminated hand guard. This rifle has all original USGI parts and comes with one steel 15 round magazine marked AI. The rifle has been accurized by a competent gunsmith. The barrel was selected for its high quality, has been crowned and is in excellent condition. Trigger work has been done to improve function. The action is bedded and the barrel free floated. Over $400.00 was invested to accurize this weapon. The firearm has performed flawlessly with various brands of factory manufactured ammunition. Accuracy has been outstanding at 100 yards with Winchester, Federal and Sellier & Bellot. Please see photos for accuracy.
