Its date code, E K, identifies this Remington SP-10 Auto as part of the first full year of production, October of 1990. The series was introduced in 1989, of course, but the RM serial number series and present variant began in 1990. We got this shotgun from a dealer's estate inventory near Cairo, Illinois; and it has never been transferred to an individual, much less loaded and fired. It is in its original box with its two extra choke tubes, their wrench, the original sling still unopened in its plastic package, and even with its hang tag still attached to its trigger guard. The box has its original fiberglass tape on the side, and the box is in excellent condition. Metal finish is the classic old original green-tint Remington Special Purpose finish, and the treated Walnut buttstock and forend are perfect with their original distinctive pattern cut checkering, something that the Mag-10 Ithacas and even the 1989 SP-10s did not have. Barrel length is 26 inches. Remington product code is 4812, and the only variant in currect production is the Camo 4828. Specs on it, likely the same, are 10 3/4 pounds weight empty; 2 + 1 capacity of 3 1/2 inch magnum shells; and 47 1/2 inches overall length. Photo show it gingerly removed from its box. We will not be the first to ever assemble this shotgun, the consumer buyer will. It is, for all intents and purposes, Brand New in the Box.
