Inland M1 carbine .30 cal, serial number 64143xx, no import marks. This carbine is in very good used condition. It appears to be an arsenal rebuild, with barrel and receiver refinished together.
Metal parts have a parkerized finish in very good condition. Barrel is Inland with a bright and shiny bore with an ME of 1. Other parts are mixed manufaturers, detailed below.

-Receiver: Nov 1944 – Jan 1945. Excellent used condition, absolutely no pitting, parkerized finish shows very little wear.
-Barrel: Inland, undated, with firing proof “P”, short skirt. Bore is bright like new. Exterior has fine grooved surface, finish in excellent condition, no pitting. Marked “INLAND MFG. DIV. GENERAL MOTORS”, lettering very sharp.
-Barrel ME: 1
-Front sight: unmarked “N”, excellent condition
-Rear sight: adjustable, stamped, marked “I.R.CO.”, excellent condition
-Bolt: flat, parkerized, marked “.U.”, Underwood, excellent condition.
-Firing pin: round, parkerized, marked “.U.”, Underwood
-Extractor: late type flat lip, marked “SW”, Standard Products
-Barrel band: non-bayonet lug type, parkerized, unmarked, two spot welds on top. Could be repro because the screw is not swedged – it can be removed. However, the barrel does not seem to have the wear marks that are usually caused by a bayonet lug type barrel band.
-Trigger housing: marked “SG”, Saginaw, excellent condition
-Safety: rotary, marked “J.A.O.”
-Operating slide: marked “AOB”, Auto Ordnance for IBM, parkerized
-Hammer: straight, parkerized, marked “.U.”, Underwood
-Trigger: marked “S’G’”, Saginaw Grand Rapids
-Sear: marked “GE-Q”, Gerrard Co. for Quality Hardware
-Magazine catch: push tab marked “M”, front lug marked “H.I.”, Inland
-Stock: walnut, oval cut low wood, marked “IO” in sling cut, Inland, crossed cannons on right side, “.U.” Underwood rebuild mark on left side. Hand painted “74” on pistol grip, another stenciled number underneath. No cracks, relatively few dings and scratches, nice appearance
-Handguard: walnut, four rivets, marked “H.I.”, Hillerich & Bradsby for Inland. No cracks, relatively few dings and scratches.
-Recoil plate: marked “AU”, Underwood
-Buttplate: unmarked, square checkering pattern, good condition
-Magazine: 15 round, marked “IA”, Inland, excellent condition
-Sling and oiler: new repro
