Description: Browning .22 Auto Rifle- BELGIUM MADE, ANGELO BEE W/5 GOLD INLAYS

This is a Belgium FN manufactured Takedown .22 LR engraved by Angelo Bee, one of Browning’s most well known engravers. The engraving is “off the charts” gorgeous with 5 gold animal inlays, elaborate vine and floral engraving, and bulino engraved landscapes. Signed in two places by Angelo Bee, and retaining the Belgium proof marks, this is one of the nicest Browning .22 Auto Rifles available. The wood and checkering are superb, and the entire gun is like new. Made in the late 1950’s it takes down into 2 20” pieces for easy transport and storage. It even has the “wheel adjustable” sight which adds more value to the collector/shooter. The Belgian Brownings are investment quality firearms, with this one being a one of a kind engraved and signed by one of FN’s best. There are no more being made like this one, and this fine little rifle is sure to gain value as you enjoy plinking in style!

The barrel measures around 20”, bore is excellent, blue at 99%+, perfectly crowned muzzle, and it has the wheel style adjustable rear sight which adds at least a 25% premium to the value of the gun.

The action is a coin finish or “French Grey” with elaborate game scenes on the left side, right side, and top of the action. The gold plated trigger and silver bolt mechanism show little wear and the gun functions flawlessly.

The wood has the high gloss factory Browning finish, nicely figured wood checkered to perfection in a skip line pattern, wood to metal fit is excellent, length of pull is 13 ½” to a blued steel butt plate, and there are several small handling marks in the wood from taking it in and out of the safe. The finishes are almost new and the checkering is crisp.

Angelo Bee is an extraordinary artist that has pleased many a gun aficionado with his work. Angelo is getting on in age and has begun to wind down his work. The value of his work will certainly soar as he ceases producing his sought after masterpieces. This fine little .22LR is a grand example of how one artist can create game scenes we can all relate to, surrounded by elegant examples of the gunmaker’s art.
