OOPS! Rare Mistake – Read on! NIB. Dirty Harry once said that he used the most powerful handgun in the world with his Smith and Wesson .44 Magnum. No more! In 2003, S&W upped the ante with the introduction of their massive .500 S&W Magnum. Built on the massive “X-Frame”, this is a beautifully designed five-shot, double-action firearm with a tight cylinder tolerance, 8.375” stainless steel barrel with standard muzzle compensator, Hogue recoil absorbing grips, interchangeable front sight with adjustable rear sight, all packaged in a sturdy empty weight of 72.5 oz. Never fired, NIB, this impressive firearm comes complete with hard blue plastic case, lock, factory fired casing, and manual. MISTAKE: During production, S&W inadvertently stamped “Smith & Wesson” upside down on one side of the barrel making it rare and quite the conversational piece, while still being an effective conceal and carry weapon (for elephants that is!). Look at the barrel in picture for stamping.
