Due to recent events; I have now made a decision on the future of this firearm.
since I have been getting hate mail on this gun.. numerous e-mails balking at the price.. I have seen others not in this good condition up for sale for 2,500.00 dollars or more and they were post 1963's. mine being 1,500.00 should have sold fast. so here is the deal.. as of July 1st 2012.. I am withdrawing this gun from sale. if you want this pristine firearm; you had better speak now or you will not see this gun up for sale again for the next 40 years.
I bought as an investment about 12 years ago.
the gun is circa 1964 (transition year), unfired and in like new condition. there are two small almost unnoticeable things wrong with this gun.. the first is a small rub or scratch in the bluing on the bottom of the barrel near the muzzle. the second is the back of the cheek piece has a small chip out of it on the corner. those are the only imperfections I have found. since 2000 or 2001 this has been a safe queen being oiled and cleaned every few months.
I would prefer to trade this gun to someone whom will appreciate her. what I am looking for is a heavy barreled model 70 coyote model in 22-250, Any WWII all original/"numbers matching" 1911-A1 in 95% or better condition, and the last thing I would trade for is a Winchester model 70 chambered in 375 H&H.
e-mail me with trades, questions, or more pictures.
the "fine print" the bi-pod is not included, you may purchase one separately for 75.00 for the exact model other models can be higher.
