The Forjas Taurus Company began modestly with credible but rough copies of Smith & Wessons in the 1960s, when we first began handling them. In the 1980s, however, Taurus actually passed its parent company for innovation and excellence. Here is the Brazilian descendant of the Smith & Wesson Model 34, 22/32 Kit Gun, the Taurus model 94 chambered in .22 Magnum Caliber, 9 Shot cylinder capacity, with 4 inch full lug blue steel barrel. For shooting purposes, the Taurus will outperform its ancestors, even with the extra hot Aguila Super Max rounds. And with Taurus's full lug heavy barrel, this revolver is superbly balanced and accurate. Compared to the conspicuous Internal Locks on the S&Ws, this Taurus's internal lock is unobtrusive, located on the back hump of the hammer behind the .350 semi-target serrated hammer spur. Both the Taurus's .350 combat trigger and the hammer are fully traditional color casehardened and look more like the old model 34s than anything else on the market. Sights are windage and elevation adjustable, Red Ramp front and White Outline rear. Grips are great-feeling, great-pointing and fairly good looking Taurus extended boot type. Weight empty is a well balanced 25 ounces.
