Serial number 8261 has been in the same family for several generations and almost certainly has not been fired in the last 40 years. For all that, the bore remains bright and has strong rifling. Overall original metal condition is about 40%, with very thin blue on the barrel and a combination of surface rust and patina on the receiver and butt plate. Wood is about the same, with smoothed checkering and much evidence of hunting use (impressions and scratches). The grip cap is in very good condition. Price firm. Layaway considered.
