Here is a very nice, original Taurus PT-99, not a PT-99AF. This one has the frame mounted lock safety for right handed shooter, and the safety does not double for a decocker like the 99AF's does. Furthermore, this early PT-99 has a European magazine release that operates from the bottom area of the left side of the grip frame. We sold this exact specimen new in January of 1983 for only about $100 less than we want for it now. We believe it to be a First Year of Production PT-99, manufactured in 1982; and that year also marked the transfer of Taurus Distribution in Miami from International Distributors, Inc., to Taurus U.S.A. Its serial number is 592xx, and it is in its original box with extra 15 round Taurus magazine, cleaning brush, and all its papers. It even has the original plastic protective wrapper. Its only surface detractions are some faint scouring on the left muzzle area of the slide, and faint amounts of slide contact with the exterior barrel surface. We rate it as Excellent in Original Box, since we estimate that more than 95 percent of its original finish is intact. Original Brazilian Goncalo Grip Panels and screws are pristine. This pistol has been fired fewer than 300 rounds. It is eminently collectable. We're offering it for only $ 419.00
