This listing is for ONE set of grips, complete with grip screw. From an old east coast warehouse come these mint condition grips to fit Smith & Wesson K and L medium frame revolvers with Square Butt grip frames. Any shoppers unfamiliar with the difference between round and square butts, please see the comparative photo attached to this ad. Smith & Wesson K and L Frame includes Models 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 45, 48, 56, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 581, 586, 617, 648, 681 and 686 in square butt grip frame only, mostly manufactured prior to 1996. Model 12 owners may need a substantial amount of fitting, since many of the Model 12s have thinner-than-normal grip frames. These were manufactured in Italy, probably in Turin. Importer was Sile Distributors in New York. Type is Service Magna style revolver grip panels. Construction is genuine Italian Walnut, machine checkered on a very similar pattern to the S&W Factory Magnas issued from the mid 1960s until the mid 1990s. Chrome plated brass logo medallions show a Maltese Falcon motif. Grip Screw is nickel plated steel, secured by nickel plated brass escutcheon nuts. Surface detractions are negligible; neither these nor the factory Smith & Wesson Walnut or Goncalo grips were always cosmetically perfect. These grips have been in storage for a long time, over 25 years. Most of them came to us in their original thin paper Italian packaging. These grips are period correct for any Smith & Wesson K or L Square Butt revolver with D, or K, or A or B serial number prefixes. They will work on any K or L frame square butt Smith & Wesson Revolver. They will not work on a Round Butt Smith & Wesson. They will not work on a J Frame Smith & Wesson. They will not work on a Taurus revolver, or a Rossi, or a Colt. Replacement pricing on current production factory Smith & Wesson Magna grips approaches $75 for a set.
