Description: Up for sale is a 1971 Colt Issue Robert E. Lee - .36 Caliber Navy Pistol In the Case with Accessories. The pistol is unfired and features a factory original walnut fitted locking case (missing key), nipple wrench, bullet mold, tin for caps, COLT's NAVY Flask made by James Dixon England. This gun is in very nice all original condition. The gun and case show just a bit of age which actually looks quite good as it gives them a more authentic look. The gun is as new with the silver plating beginning to tarnish a bit. The case has a few small handling marks. A close look at the pictures will show you all the details. The case has some minor damaged to the Lid liner

Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “ROBERT E. LEE COMMEMORATIVE – NINETEEN SEVENTY ONE”, the left side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PATENT”, the underside is marked “REL”, the underside of the lever, barrel, frame, trigger guard a butt are marked with the serial number. The cylinder has a naval battle scene with the serial number, “ENGAGED 16 MAY 1843” and “COLTS PATENT No. / Engraved by W.L. Ornsby New York”. The commemorative case has a brass Colt medallion and is marked “ROBERT E. LEE COMMEMORATIVE – NINETEEN SEVENTY ONE” on the inside and outside of the lid. The powder flask is marked “COLTS PATENT / DIXON & SONS / MADE IN ENGLAND”.

Barrel Length: 7 ½”, Octagonal

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a conical brass bead that is screwed into the drilled and tapped barrel. The rear sight is a “V” notch cut into the hammer.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
