In less decade, Turkish firearms manufacturers have earned the respect, some of it grudging, of the United States Firearms markets. Their shotguns, for one, have borne names like Smith & Wesson and Weatherby for some time now. Fit and finish are second to nobody, only the lettering has been weak at times. The black slide on this HP9 is smooth throughout; its finish is as slick as any Beretta. That third, most crucial F word, Function, is not a problem. Photos show a specimen from only the second batch of Turkish made pistols we’ve had, and it is a thoroughly traditional, but very well finished, tribute to John Moses Browning’s Model of 1935 Hi-Power. Manufacturer is Tisas, shorthand abbreviation for Trabzon, Turkey, Gun Industry Corporation. Importer is our old friends in Billerica, Massachusetts – Interstate Arms Corp. Model is HP9. Each pistol comes with white dot dovetailed black rear sights, and matching milled integral front sight. Finish is non-glare, weather resistant black coated slide and hard chrome finished frame. Action is traditional double and single action, Beretta type with ambidextrous slide mounted decocking safety and firing pin safety, but no magazine safety. Magazine is factory Tisas stamped Blue Steel 19 shot, 19+1 Capacity. The Magazine’s Plus 2 plate bears the maker’s name, Mec-Gar; and our Mec-Gar 18 round AFC magazines for the Sig P-226 Pistols go into battery just fine and lock the slide back, only a bit sticky at the magazine release. A Sig 226 magazine protrudes just enough to be covered by a +2 attachment, like the one on the ATI Magazine itself. Trigger is black finished .350 smooth faced and the specimens we’ve received so far gauge in the 5 pound vicinity with minimal felt creep. Barrel is 5 inch chrome plated, 6 land and 6 groove rifling. Grips are black ribbed checkered polymer. Weight empty is 36 ounces. Hammer is serrated .350 Commander style. Construction is Steel slide, barrel, and internal parts all mounted in an alloy grip frame, with black anodized furniture, as the photos show. Specs, then, are more similar to a Beretta, while the appearance reminds us of the Browning Hi-Power; and the magazines are very, very Sig like. Here is a well made, attractive pistol at a very attractive price. We’re offering the Tisas / IAC HP9 Pistols identical to the one in the photos in very limited quantities; each for only $ 389.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. For civilian buyers in jurisdictions where 19 round magazines are restricted, we will sub a Mec-Gar 226 Ten Rounder or $15 off with no magazine, includes Aurora IL, Chicago / Cook County IL, Hawaii, Oak Park IL, New Jersey, New York, and South Bend IN. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $12 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority Mail, insured with Delivery Confirmation. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
