Wood Exc with good wood to metal fit. Has a 28” oct barrel with original sights front sight has a replacement blade and the rear sight is the dated 1876 ladder type sight. The address is mostly visible and the caliber marking 40-60 is exc. The receiver has an original dust cover and the top tang is marked model 1876 with the bottom tang having the serial#47534 mfg 1884 and the brass carrier has an 40-60 cal marking. Metal overall has an aged grey patina finish with fine pitting in areas mainly the rear sight. Has the original buttplate with the compartment.
